Canton ISD issued the following announcement.
Governor Abbott issued an Executive Order extending the closure of schools until May 4th. As such, Canton ISD will extend its closure through Friday, May 1st. This Executive Order does not prohibit people from accessing essential services as long as precautionary measures are taken to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
Canton ISD will continue serving meals to children 18 and younger each weekday at Canton Elementary from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Students will continue at-home learning via our website or have access to hard copy packets that will be made available on Monday, April 6th, and Monday, April 20th.
Please continue to practice the preventative measures recommended by the CDC:
· Practice social distancing
· Don’t shake hands
· Wash hands regularly
· Avoid close contact
· Stay home if you are sick
· Cover coughs and sneezes
