City of Mineola issued the following announcement.
The next General Election will be on Saturday, May 2, 2020 for the purpose of electing three City Council Members, Ward 1, Ward 2 and Ward 3, each for a two year term. The incumbents are eligible to run for re-election should they choose to do so. The incumbents include City Council Member Sue Jones (Ward 1), Jayne Lankford (Ward 2) and Novada Bigham (Ward 3).
The first day to file an Application for Place on Ballot will be January 15, 2020; the last day to file an Application for Place on Ballot will be February 14, 2020. The last day to file as write-in candidate will be February 18, 2020.
