Lance Gooden, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 5th district since 2019, shared his views on various national issues through a series of tweets on February 19, 2025.

In one tweet posted at 16:32 UTC, Gooden criticized what he described as targeting by "Joe Biden's FBI," listing groups such as Catholics, school parents, gun owners, conservatives, and President Trump. He expressed anticipation for "Kash Patel to clean house."

Later that day at 18:58 UTC, Gooden addressed financial matters involving the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB). He claimed that "The @USCCB is using your tax dollars to fund an invasion and then suing Trump with the same money." He called for the USCCB to lose its tax-exempt status immediately.

At 21:55 UTC, Gooden turned his attention to foreign ownership of American farmland. He noted that China owns more than 350,000 acres in the U.S., stating that this is "350,000 acres too much." Gooden expressed support for efforts by the Trump Administration to prevent further Chinese purchases of U.S. land.
