Lance Gooden, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas' 5th district since 2019, has been active on social media sharing his views and opinions. On February 17, 2025, he expressed his sentiments for Presidents' Day by acknowledging former President Donald Trump in a tweet: "Happy Presidents' Day to 45 and 47, President @realDonaldTrump! "

Later that day, Gooden raised concerns about financial discrepancies involving Jewish Family Services. He tweeted on February 17, 2025: "Jewish Family Services received $22,077,365 in taxpayer-funded FEMA money in FY 2024. The NGO claims they received no such funds. Jewish Family Services has been caught in a lie and I have called on them to be audited immediately."

On February 18, 2025, Gooden questioned the accuracy of voter records in the Social Security database with another tweet: "1.3 million people in the 150-159 age range are listed in the Social Security database. How many of them voted Democrat in the last election?"
