Lance Gooden, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 5th district, has expressed strong opinions on various issues through his social media platform. Gooden, who has been serving in Congress since 2019 after replacing Jeb Hensarling, is known for his outspoken views.

On February 13, 2025, Gooden criticized a financial initiative by President Joe Biden. He described it as "a $20 billion green slush fund created by Joe Biden to funnel tax dollars to his political allies." He called for accountability from those involved in what he termed a scheme.

Later that day, Gooden addressed healthcare policies regarding COVID-19 vaccinations. He claimed that "if you're a 12-year-old American unvaccinated against COVID, you will be denied a heart transplant," contrasting this with what he described as lenient policies towards unvaccinated illegal immigrants.

On February 14, 2025, Gooden criticized the spending of the Department of Health and Human Services under Biden's administration on illegal immigrants. He provided figures stating that "Joe Biden's HHS spent tens of billions of dollars on illegal aliens" over several fiscal years and questioned the Democrats' stance on border security expenses.
