Lance Gooden, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 5th district, has shared his perspectives on several topics through recent social media posts. Known for his direct approach, Gooden addressed issues related to government funding, media coverage, and judicial decisions.

On February 12, 2025, Gooden expressed his opinion on the funding of non-governmental organizations (NGOs). He stated that "NGOs need to be NGFs: Not Government Funded." This tweet reflects his stance on reducing governmental financial involvement in NGOs.

Later that day, Gooden commented on a tragic incident involving a U.S. Border Patrol Agent. At 16:22 UTC, he tweeted about a controversial connection between a group and the death of Agent David Maland. He wrote: "A transgender vegan cult has been linked to the horrific killing of U.S. Border Patrol Agent David Maland. The mainstream media refuses to report this fact. Shame on them." In this statement, Gooden criticized the mainstream media for allegedly not reporting certain aspects of the case.

In another post from February 12 at 19:22 UTC, Gooden commented on a legal decision involving prominent figures and cryptocurrency access to Treasury systems. He remarked: '"Judge blocks Musk and DOGE from accessing Treasury payment systems" Translation: Rogue judge wants the waste, fraud, and abuse to continue unimpeded.' This tweet suggests dissatisfaction with what he perceives as an obstructionist judicial ruling.
