Wood County schools enrollment of gifted and talented students is 323 students in the 2020-2021 school year

Test 05

Wood County schools enrolled 323 students who were identified as being gifted and talented during the 2020-2021 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

This is a 3.5% increase over the previous school year.

Of the 6,077 students enrolled in Wood County schools, 5.3% of them were considered to be gifted and talented.

Wood County enrolled the 92nd highest number of gifted and talented students among Texas counties.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
