Congressman Lance Gooden has reintroduced the No Tax Dollars for the United Nation’s Immigration Invasion Act. This legislation aims to halt taxpayer funding to United Nations organizations that are said to encourage illegal immigration.

“It’s time to stop subsidizing our own destruction,” stated Rep. Gooden. He expressed concern that "the United Nations is running a taxpayer-funded operation to funnel illegal immigrants into our country, threatening our sovereignty, security, and the very fabric of our nation." He also mentioned working with the Trump Administration to address this issue promptly.

The act includes several key provisions:

- It proposes defunding UN migration organizations by stopping State Department contributions to entities such as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

- An accountability audit is directed through the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to conduct a comprehensive review of U.S. funding allocated to these organizations. The audit will assess how much is owed back to taxpayers and examine non-governmental organizations involved in migrant resettlement services funded by these contributions. Additionally, it calls for a review of the State Department’s Refugee Travel Loan Program.

According to background information provided, American tax dollars have been used by the United Nations for years in support of mass migration at the southern border. The State Department's funding allegedly contributes to a coordinated scheme encouraging illegal crossings that pose risks to American communities' safety and security.

Moreover, it was noted that there has been a lack of oversight regarding these programs, with claims that there are no records of certain loan programs within the State Department. UN-affiliated migratory support centers reportedly provide various forms of assistance, including transportation and legal advice, facilitating migrants' journey toward the United States.

In 2023 alone, UNHCR and IOM requested $450 million directly aimed at migrant resettlement efforts.

“The United Nations isn’t just complicit in the border crisis—they’re orchestrating it," Gooden asserted. He emphasized that they are doing so using taxpayer money: "We will not allow globalist elites to trample on our sovereignty. This legislation will end this outrageous use of taxpayer dollars and hold the United Nations accountable for their role in this invasion."
