City of Edom issued the following announcement on June 2
With new program leadership, the East Texas Council of Governments’ rural transportation system, GoBus, prioritized trip efficiency and consolidation this year. Notable accomplishments include reducing fares by $2 per trip and eliminating fares for Veterans and active Military personnel. Due to the fare decrease and more efficient trip procedures, GoBus was able to drastically reduce overtime and increase ridership by 19% in East Texas.
