Fruitvale ISD issued the following announcement on May 19.
On May 11th, the Fruitvale Chapter of National Honor Society welcomed new inductees.
Senior Officers of NHS recorded a virtual ceremony and sophomores Lucas Hendrix, Mason Smith, Jazemine Sustaita and Aizhan Seitekenova were announced as newly accepted members. The pillars of National Honor Society are Leadership, Character, Scholarship and Service.
As each officer light candles that represented each standard, they explained how each is a vital attribute in one’s life.
Seniors Officers:
Colby Bain,President
Austin Davis,Vice President
Payton Thompson,Treasurer
Kaitlyn Henry,Secretary
These students will wear the NHS stole during graduation.
Virtual Inductees were asked to join in the NHS Pledge:
I pledge myself to uphold the high purpose of the National Honor Society, to which I have been selected. Striving in every way, by word or deed,to make its ideals the ideals of my school and of my life.I pledge myself to always seek the light of truth, to hold high standards of Scholarship, Service, Leadership and Character.
When students return to FHS campus for the 2020-2021 school year, a reception will be hosted to honor these inductees and their families.
