No new COVID-19 cases reported within Smith County as of Thursday, March 19 at 12 p.m.

Best practices:

We are asking the public to contact their healthcare provider prior to visiting hospitals or emergency rooms for treatment. It is very important to mitigate the spread of Coronavirus that all potential patients are screened so healthcare providers can to prepare for their arrival.

City of Tyler facilities remain closed to public access through April 1. All events City-operated or in a City facility have been suspended through April 1. Get more information on closures or adjusted services:

Smith County remains open to the public, but with limited walk-in services.  The County encourages people to conduct their businesses online. In observation of a Community Mitigation Period, Tyler Independent School District remains closed until March 23. Updates from TISD are coming at a later time today. Tyler ISD Food Services will provide FREE curbside meals March 16-20 to all of our Tyler ISD students. Meal pick up locations will be at Boulter, Hubbard, Moore, and Three Lakes middle schools, Caldwell Arts Academy, and Griffin Elementary School. Get the most up-to-date information at
