Canton ISD issued the following announcement on Feb. 03.
Keely is a 2nd-grade student at Canton Elementary School. She is the daughter to Derek and Deanna Barnhart. Keely's favorite subject is reading and would be interested in becoming a game warden when she graduates from school.
A hobby that Keely enjoys is playing baseball. Something interesting about Keely that people may not know is that she likes to help her grandmother cook, especially tortillas.
Mrs. Lamar, Canton Elementary School Principal, adds that Keely is a quiet leader at CES. She models friendships and kindness to those around her. Her teacher said "Keely is one of the kindest students, she is a friend to everyone".
Keely has a strong work ethic and works hard in class. In addition, she is a terrific baseball player. We are honored to have Keely at CES.
