Lance Gooden, U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 5th District, recently shared his thoughts through a series of tweets addressing issues related to biological definitions, immigration, and political alignment with public opinion. Gooden, who has served in Congress since 2019, replaced Jeb Hensarling and also previously served in the Texas House of Representatives.

On April 16, 2025, Gooden tweeted a brief message regarding gender definitions, stating, "XX = female. XY = male." He remarked, "If the United Kingdom gets it right, you know it's not complicated. Common sense keeps winning!"

In a subsequent tweet on April 17, 2025, Gooden addressed the issue of illegal immigration with specific reference to Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who he identified as "a confirmed MS-13 gang member" and "allegedly a brutal domestic abuser." He criticized the Democratic Party for "brazenly defending" individuals like Garcia and questioned their stance, "What is wrong with them?!"

Later that day, Gooden commented further on the political discourse, expressing skepticism about the Democrats' alignment with public opinion. He wrote, "How much more out of touch can the Democrats be with the American people?"

Lance Gooden, born in Nashville in 1982, resides in Terrell, Texas. He is an alumnus of the University of Texas, Austin, holding degrees in arts and business administration.
