Lance Gooden, currently serving in the U.S. Congress, represents Texas’ 5th district. On April 16, 2025, Gooden made statements via his Twitter account regarding legal accountability and law enforcement issues. His social media engagement reveals his viewpoints on certain political figures and situations, emphasizing the principle that no individual is exempt from legal accountability.

Posting on April 16, 2025, Gooden referred to Letitia James, New York Attorney General, by saying, "The Queen of Lawfare, PEEKABOO @TishJames, must be investigated." He asserts that James appears to be guilty of the same accusations she has previously directed toward former President Trump, stating, "NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW!"

In a subsequent post on the same day, Gooden highlighted the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, identifying him as "a citizen of El Salvador." Gooden mentioned, "He's already home," and directed a request to Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele, asking, "can you keep them both?"

Later that day, another tweet by Gooden quoted Letitia James's past assertion that "No one is above the law." Gooden reiterated this stance in relation to mortgage fraud, reaffirming that, "no one is above the law."

In addition to his current role as a Congressman, Lance Gooden has served in the U.S. Congress, representing Texas’s 5th District, since 2019. He previously served in the Texas House of Representatives from 2017 to 2019.
