Enrollment Analysis: multiracial students comprised 1.7% of Grand Saline ISD schools' student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 21 multiracial students enrolled in Grand Saline ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, the same number as the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Grand Saline ISD schools welcomed 1,214 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, multiracial students comprised 1.7% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Grand Saline ISD roughly covers schools within Van Zandt County and has a main office in Grand Saline.

Among the five schools in Grand Saline ISD schools, Grand Saline High School recorded the highest enrollment of multiracial students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of seven students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
