City of Mineola issued the following announcement.
Christy McClelen is the Support Staff Employee of the Month for October 2020
Mrs. McClelen is the Director of Dining for Canton ISD. She received her high school diploma from Grand Saline High School. Mrs. McClelen is married to Robby McClelen and they have a daughter named Meredith. Hobbies that she enjoys are shopping with her daughter and anything outdoors.
Mrs. McClelen has been employed with Canton ISD for 9 years and what she enjoys most about her job is the interaction with the students.
This spring Mrs. McClelen and her team provided breakfast and lunch to our students while the school was shut down due the COVID-19 pandemic. They stepped up and did a great service for our students in time of need. Canton ISD is proud that Mrs. McClelen was voted for this honor, she does a great job for this district.
