TYLER JUNIOR COLLEGE: TJC distance education manager earns state leadership award

Award

Tyler Junior College issued the following announcement.

Gay Howard, Tyler Junior College distance education manager, is the recipient of the 2020 Don Foshee Outstanding Leadership Award from the Texas Distance Learning Association (TxDLA).

Named in memory of TxDLA founding member and first president Don Foshee, the award is presented each year to a board member, officer or committee chair who has shown a strong personal commitment, given generously of their time and provided vigorous support for other members to become leaders in the association.

Howard, who is in her second term as a TxDLA member at large, was nominated by board chair Dr. Michelle Singh. She is the first award recipient who was neither a board chair nor president. She joined TJC in 1993.
