In his tweet, he noted: "Swipe fees for credit cards and debit cards hit a RECORD HIGH last year. 2023 --> $172 billion; 2024 --> $187.2 billion. My Credit Card Competition Act will introduce competition in the market and help LOWER these excessive fees!".
Later on March 21, Gooden commented on immigration policies under the Trump Administration by stating: "A visa is a privilege, not a right. The Trump Administration has every right to deport pro-Hamas terrorist sympathizers who hate America."
