Lance Gooden, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas' 5th district, shared his perspectives on recent political events through a series of tweets. Gooden has been vocal about his opinions regarding actions taken by both the Biden and Trump administrations, as well as social behaviors among different political groups.

On March 19, 2025, Lance Gooden criticized the reactions of Democrats to policies concerning terrorism. He stated: "When the Biden Administration released terrorists into America, Democrats were silent. When the Trump Administration deports terrorists out of America, Democrats are outraged. The Democrat motto: America Last, always."

Later that day, he compared responses from conservatives and liberals towards businesses associated with controversial figures or decisions. He tweeted: "Conservatives stopped buying Bud Light, but they didn't attack bars that served it. Liberals firebomb Tesla dealerships instead of just not buying a Tesla."

On March 20, 2025, Gooden expressed support for former President Trump's educational policy plans. He remarked on the financial expenditure of the Department of Education and endorsed Trump's approach: "The Department of Education does not run a single school or teach a single student. Yet, the department spent $268 billion last year. I applaud President Trump's plan to dismantle this rampant bureaucracy and return power to parents!"
