Lance Gooden, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas' 5th District, has recently shared his views on various political topics through a series of tweets. These posts highlight his perspectives on immigration policies, work return policies for government employees, and military hiring practices.

In a tweet dated January 25, 2025, Gooden commented on the response to immigration measures by different political groups: "Fly illegal aliens to Martha's Vineyard, and the Left gets outraged. President Trump begins deportation flights, and the Left gets outraged. Democrats can't have it both ways."

On the same day, Gooden addressed workplace attendance trends in Texas compared to Washington D.C.: "Texans lead the nation in returning to work in the office. If my constituents can return to the office, so can bureaucrats in Washington, D.C."

Later that day, he criticized certain hiring decisions within the Department of Defense: "Joe Biden's Department of Defense fired unvaccinated troops while hiring transgender troops. Woke nonsense will finally come to an end with Pete Hegseth as Defense Secretary."
