Lance Gooden, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 5th district, has recently shared his views on various national issues through social media. His comments touch upon border security, religious figures in politics, and national symbols.

On January 22, 2025, Gooden addressed an incident involving a Border Patrol agent who was shot and killed by an "illegal alien" in Vermont. He emphasized that Democrats face a decision: "Protect criminal illegal aliens or work with President Trump and Republicans to ensure a tragedy like this never happens again."

Later the same day, Gooden criticized Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde for her appearances on mainstream media platforms such as CNN and The View. He accused her of politicizing religious positions by supporting what he described as "pro-child mutilation" actions. He remarked that these events serve as "a great reminder of why President Trump won and why fake..."

In another post on January 22, Gooden expressed his opinion regarding the flags flown at U.S. embassies worldwide. He stated firmly that "There is only one flag that should fly at U.S. embassies: the American flag." He further noted that this stance should not be seen as controversial.
