Lance Gooden, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas' 5th district, has expressed his views on several key political issues through a series of tweets. Gooden, who succeeded Jeb Hensarling in Congress in 2019 and previously served in the Texas House of Representatives, shared his opinions on topics ranging from international agreements to domestic policies.

On January 21, 2025, Gooden criticized the Paris climate agreement, describing it as "a terrible deal for the United States." He highlighted China's significant contribution to global CO2 emissions growth since the treaty's inception and praised former President Trump's decision to withdraw from what he termed a "sham agreement," viewing it as a fulfilled promise and a victory for America. "The left-wing lawsuit against @DOGE states:"
