Congressman Lance Gooden announced a series of Congressional Town Hall meetings across Texas's 5th district. These town halls will offer constituents an opportunity to engage directly with Congressman Gooden on topics such as defending constitutional rights, securing the border, and promoting local economic growth free from federal overreach.
Gooden is a member of the House Armed Services and House Judiciary Committees. As a leader within the Republican Conference, he has underscored various issues including threats posed by China to the U.S., the role of federally funded NGOs in perpetuating the border crisis, and concerns about weaponized law enforcement against political opponents.
The details for each town hall are as follows:
Thursday, June 6th:
- Wood County: Mineola Civic Center, Dogwood Room, 1150 N Newsom St., Mineola at 10:00 am
- Henderson County: Athens Cain Center, 214 Loyola Dr., Athens at 2:00 pm
- Van Zandt County: Canton Farm Bureau, 220 Burnett Trail, Canton at 5:00 pm
Friday, June 7th:
- Dallas County: Sunnyvale HS Auditorium, 222 Collins Rd., Sunnyvale at 10:00 am
- Kaufman County: Terrell ISD PAC, 400 Poetry Rd., Terrell at 2:00 pm
