Eastfield College employee Darlene Woods donates $50 to Donald Trump's campaign

Darlene Woods, an employee at Eastfield College, donated $50 to Republican Party candidate Donald Trump, according to the Federal Election Commission.

According to records, there have been $1,452 in campaign contributions made by individuals affiliated with Eastfield College as of November 3. Approximately 72.3 percent, or $1,050, of these contributions were made to Republican Party candidates and committees.

Ann Johnson's contribution of $1,000 to Republican Party John Cornyn was the largest contribution made by someone affiliated with Eastfield College since January 1, 2019.

According to an Inside Higher Ed analysis of federal elections data, individuals that were affiliated with colleges and universities have donated five times more money to Joe Biden than to President Trump. A study by Pew Research in 2017 found that 58 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents thought colleges and universities have a negative impact on the way things are going in this country.
