Cost of college went up for all students at Bella Cosmetology College

Tuition and fees rose 5.7 percent for 2018-19 at Bella Cosmetology College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Texas students paid $16,125 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $875 more than the $15,250 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 81 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 42 students received grants or scholarships totaling $192,930 and 40 students took out student loans totaling more than $217,349.

Including all undergraduates (89), 77 students used grants or scholarships totaling $310,988, and 64 students took out $382,291 in federal student loans.
