Lance Gooden comments on international respect and domestic policy

Lance Gooden, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 5th district, recently shared his views on several topics through a series of tweets. Gooden has been serving in Congress since 2019 and previously served in the Texas House of Representatives. He resides in Terrell, Texas.

On December 8, 2024, Gooden commented on recent international events involving U.S. Presidents Joe Biden and Donald Trump. He remarked that "Last week, Joe Biden fell asleep on the world stage. Last night, world leaders enthusiastically welcomed President Trump in Paris. America is once again respected around the world."

In another tweet posted on December 9, 2024, Gooden addressed domestic policy choices facing American voters regarding immigration policies. He stated that "On November 5, the American people had a choice. Option 1: Mass deportations Option 2: Mass amnesty Voters overwhelmingly backed deportations, and President Trump will deliver on that promise."

Later that day, Gooden expressed his condolences for a fallen police officer from Terrell Police Department. He wrote: "I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family of Terrell Police Officer Jacob Candanoza, whose life was tragically taken by a senseless act of violence. His unwavering commitment to protecting our community will be his enduring legacy. May Officer Candanoza rest in peace."
