Lance Gooden shares thoughts on political developments and personal condolences

Lance Gooden, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 5th district, shared his views on several topics through a series of tweets. His comments touched on political developments, personal condolences, and critiques of Democratic policies.

On December 9, 2024, Gooden expressed optimism about the current state of America. He stated: "Daniel Penny is not guilty, President Trump is heading back to the White House, and corporations are ending woke DEI policies. America is healing."

Later that day, he extended his condolences to a colleague experiencing personal loss. In his tweet at 20:19 UTC, Gooden wrote: "Sending prayers and strength to my colleague @michaelcburgess on the tragic loss of his daughter, Christine. May the entire Burgess family find comfort in cherished memories during this difficult time."

Gooden also criticized what he described as inconsistent Democratic policies regarding federal employees. At 21:03 UTC on December 9th, he tweeted: "If you were an unvaccinated federal employee during the pandemic, Democrats wanted to fire you. If you are a remote federal employee and refuse to return to the office, Democrats want to protect you. Illogical left-wing reasoning."
