Enrollment Analysis: Hispanic students comprised 15.3% of Whitehouse ISD schools' student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 750 Hispanic students enrolled in Whitehouse ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 2.5% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Whitehouse ISD schools welcomed 4,916 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 15.3% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Whitehouse ISD roughly covers schools within Smith County and has a main office in Whitehouse.

Among the seven schools in Whitehouse ISD schools, Whitehouse High School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 243 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
