Students at the Alba-Golden Independent School District are staying engaged even as they do their work from home, and educators at the district are making it happen with technology.
"Since schools have been out teachers have gone into a mode that is quite impressive," Alba-Golden Elementary School Principal Kevin Wright said. "They're almost reinventing the way we get our education to our kids."
From Google Classrooms to Facebook, educators are finding ways both conventional and unconventional to keep their students engaged across the nation, and Alba-Golden ISD is no exception.
In one recent video posted for the students, a music teacher addressed the student body with what is a normal weekly address by taking the message to Facebook.
"What you saw is our school's way of trying to get a little bit of normalcy to the kids at home and we're trying to get them a little piece of school while they're at the house," Wright said.
