On March 11, 2025, Gooden reflected on a recent visit to Athens, TX. He noted that during this visit he heard from constituents expressing frustration with the current political climate. He stated: “Last week, I was in Athens, TX, and I heard the exact same thing from my constituents: I did what they wanted to do at President Trump’s joint address to Congress. The American people are sick and tired of Democrats playing games instead of governance.”
In another tweet dated March 12, 2025, Gooden addressed budget allocations concerning immigration and national sovereignty. He highlighted fiscal decisions made by House Republicans: ” $10 billion for Immigration & Customs Enforcement $2.5 billion cut from Biden’s green card handout House Republicans voted to keep the government open AND restore our national sovereignty!”
Later that day, Gooden commented on economic indicators such as inflation and commodity prices. He questioned the Democratic Party’s commitment to addressing these economic concerns: “Inflation is cooling, gas prices are falling, and egg prices are declining. How quickly do Democrats stop pretending to care about costs?”
