Lance Gooden, a representative from Texas’ 5th district, has made several statements on social media regarding the activities of the Democratic Party and President Donald Trump, celebrating the latter’s first 100 days in office. Gooden, an advocate of Texas’ legislative interests, replaced Jeb Hensarling and has served in Congress since 2019 after a stint in the Texas House of Representatives.

On April 29, 2025, Gooden criticized the Democrats’ actions in recent months, listing a series of grievances. He stated, “What Democrats have done in the past 100 days: – Introduced bogus articles of impeachment – Visited an MS-13 terrorist in El Salvador – Opposed eliminating waste and fraud – Refused to stand for Laken Riley – Voted against proof of citizenship to vote – Sided with men in women’s”.

The following day, on April 30, 2025, Gooden extended his congratulations to President Donald Trump through the same platform. He expressed his view on the importance of Trump’s administration by tweeting, “Congratulations President @realDonaldTrump on the most historic and consequential first 100 days. America’s Golden Age is here.”

Later that day, Gooden further critiqued the Democrats’ stance on immigration policies, specifically regarding deportations and impeachment efforts against President Trump. He questioned their alignment with public opinion on matters concerning national security, stating, “Democrats want to impeach President @realDonaldTrump for deporting an MS-13 terrorist. The American people want rogue judges impeached from protecting illegal alien terrorists. How much more out of touch can the Democrats be?”

Lance Gooden, born in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1982, has made significant contributions since starting his position in the U.S. Congress in 2019. He earned a BA and a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin, completing his education in 2004. Gooden now resides in Terrell.
