Lance Gooden, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 5th district since 2019, recently shared his perspectives on various national security issues through a series of tweets. His comments touched upon border security and international relations, highlighting his stance on the current administration’s policies.

On February 2, 2025, Gooden remarked on border security by suggesting an ideal target location for Border Czar Tom Homan to focus efforts. “Looks like an ideal place for Border Czar @RealTomHoman to target.”

Later that day, he addressed concerns about illegal immigration from Canada. He criticized President Joe Biden’s handling of the Northern Border while expressing confidence in President Trump’s approach. “The greatest number of suspected illegal alien terrorists are caught along our border with Canada. Joe Biden’s neglect of our Northern Border left us completely vulnerable. Those days are over under President Trump.”

On February 3, 2025, Gooden shifted focus to China and its impact on American industries and public health. He praised President Trump for taking a firm stance against what he perceives as exploitation by China. “China steals our intellectual property, hurts American manufacturing, and poisons our people with fentanyl. President Trump is no longer allowing America to be used and abused by Communist China.”
