Daniel Alders, a Republican elected in 2025 to represent Texas’s 6th House district, has recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing the role of government spending and responsibilities.
In a post dated November 5, 2025, Alders commented on the prospects for the Texas Stock Exchange and its relationship with the New York Stock Exchange: “Things are about to look very rosy for the @TXStockExchange/@nyse Texas. @GregAbbott_TX https://t.co/KuzygzuEqh”.
Later that day, Alders shared his views on government expenditure, writing: “Or maybe – just maybe – you start by spending taxpayer dollars *only* on essential services. Government isn’t supposed to be the citizen’s nanny. Provide infrastructure, emergency services, etc. Rental assistance is not a core function. Parks are a bonus if you have the extra https://t.co/ermK3xJYVu”.
On November 5, 2025, he also addressed interpretations of Christian duty and governmental roles: “Tell me you don’t know the Bible without telling me… It’s the *Christian’s* duty as an individual to love his or her neighbor. To care for the poor, etc. It’s definitively NOT the duty of governments. https://t.co/RgInRWGc0p”.
Alders succeeded Matt Schaefer as representative for Texas’s 6th House district after winning election in 2025.
