Daniel Alders, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 6th district since 2025, recently posted several comments on his Twitter account addressing political participation, sports, and legislative representation.
On August 10, 2025, Alders questioned voter engagement with the statement: “If you’re winning then why are you scared to show up and vote?”
Later that day, he commented on a sports event involving the Texas Rangers: “We interrupt our regularly scheduled programming to bring you this sports commentary: Dear @Rangers – this game was blown by asinine base-running. Please do better so we can make the playoffs. Thank you.” This post highlighted his dissatisfaction with the team’s performance and expressed hope for improvement as playoff contention approached.
In another post from August 10, Alders praised diversity within legislative bodies and singled out a colleague for recognition: “Legislative bodies like the Texas House benefit from a wide range of voices across the spectrum, and especially productive conservative members like @olcott4texas. Mike is dedicated, humble, and principled. Thank you, @MassieforKY.”
Alders succeeded Matt Schaefer as representative of Texas’ 6th House district after being elected in 2025. His recent posts reflect ongoing engagement in both state politics and local cultural interests such as sports.
