Daniel Alders, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 6th district since 2025, has recently posted several comments on social media addressing concerns about higher education and local water infrastructure.
On September 9, 2025, Alders criticized university leadership in the United States. He wrote, “This is damning evidence of the university elites in this country who are actively working to undermine common sense American values. This must end.”
The following day, on September 10, he continued his critique of higher education with another post: “Just a thought… but maybe folks in ‘Higher Education’ have forgotten what it looks like to educate.”
Also on September 10, Alders shifted focus to local issues. He shared details about a recent visit to a water treatment facility: “To better understand our community’s water supply and local impact on the greater East Texas water supply, my staff and I toured @CityofTyler’s Lake Palestine Water Treatment facility earlier this week. Thanks to the City for a comprehensive overview, and the work they do 24/7 to”
Alders assumed office after being elected in 2025, succeeding Matt Schaefer as representative for Texas’s 6th House district.
