Daniel Alders, a Republican elected in 2025 to represent Texas’ 6th House district, posted a series of comments on social media addressing healthcare models, state disaster preparedness efforts, and political dynamics in California.
On July 31, 2025, Alders advocated for Direct Primary Care as an alternative to traditional healthcare systems. He wrote, “Direct Primary Care routes around the hurdles of modern ‘healthcare’ and reestablishes the supremacy of the patient-doctor relationship. It’s pro-free markets and pro-patient, all with lower costs. Keep pressing, @RepChipRoy.”
Later that day, Alders highlighted legislative activity in Texas related to recent natural disasters. He stated on July 31: “ICYMI: The Texas House and Senate Select Committees on Disaster Preparedness and Flooding have been meeting throughout the day today in Kerrville to review the severe flooding that struck the Hill Country earlier this month. This hearing is a critical step toward understanding”.
On August 1, Alders commented on political developments in California involving Governor Gavin Newsom. In his post he wrote: “I’m shocked. Shocked I tell you. Gov. Newsom would NEVER be partisan or political. Which begs the question, @GavinNewsom – are you suggesting that the congressional split in CA matches the 2020 election results? That y’all didn’t take the 63% and stretch it to 83%?”
Alders assumed office following his election victory in Texas’ 6th House district after succeeding Matt Schaefer as state representative.
