Smith County to fund upgrades for COVID-19 testing and facilities

The Smith County Commissioners Court gave the green light for the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler to use the county’s CARES Act money to help improve local COVID-19 testing abilities.

Small businesses in Wood County have a little relief on the way as the Wood County Economic Development Commission is setting aside funds to help businesses suffering financial setbacks because of the COVID-19 crisis, according to the county’s website.
